Welcome! I am Steve Vessey, superintendent of the Beaver Dam Unified School District. Our district is committed to increasing academic achievement, improving our accountability and building relationships within our community. As superintendent, I want the district to be as transparent as possible. Keeping you informed of what we are doing in the district is part of that commitment. I want to encourage all members of our learning community - BDUSD employees, students, parents, teachers and taxpayers - to be involved in our schools. Please attend one of our morning community listening sessions, participate in our monthly radio show, attend a board meeting or school event, send me an email, call me, or stop by my office. I will always find time to talk. This is the community's school district. These are your schools and your children we are educating, and we want to be fully informed as to your thoughts, opinions and suggestions.
We have one ultimate goal: to prepare all students to be successful in the post-secondary educational environment of their choice. Whether that is attending a two-year technical college, studying law at the University of Southern California or working to graduate from one of our four military academies, our goal is excellence!
