The Beaver Dam Unified School District uses the Skyward Breakfast Program and Lunch Program.
Personal Identification Numbers (PIN)
New students to the district will be assigned a PIN that can be used for purchasing lunch/breakfast/milk. Students who participated in the Breakfast/Lunch Program last year will continue to use the same PIN as in the previous year.
No cash will be accepted in the elementary lunch rooms for milk or extra milk. Students will use their PIN to purchase milk to go along with the meal they bring from home. The purchases will be deducted from their student/family account.
High School students can use their PIN to purchase Ala Carte items, unless their student/family account is below -$20.00
Breakfast/Lunch Account Payments
Deposits to student/family breakfast/lunch accounts can be made at any of the school offices or on-line. Student/family account payments can be made at one school for all students on that account who are using the Skyward Breakfast/Lunch Program. As per board policy, funds must be deposited into the lunch/breakfast account for students to participate in the School Breakfast/Lunch Program.

Low/Negative Balance Accounts
The Beaver Dam Unified School District uses the Skyward automated phone message service to notify families when their account balance becomes low or negative.
Student/family accounts with a balance between $0.01 to $5.00 or below -$10.00 will receive an automated phone message. Due to the number of calls made and the time allowed, the service will attempt two notifications.
The district encourages families to access their student/family Skyward breakfast/lunch account via the district website on a weekly basis to view payments and purchases.
The district mails letters once a week to households with a student/family account balance below -$15.00. Families are encouraged to maintain a positive balance in their student/family account to allow the student to continue to participate in the district’s Breakfast/Lunch Program.

Free and Reduced Breakfast/Lunch Program
The Free and Reduced Breakfast/Lunch Program offers students a free meal (breakfast/lunch) or meals at a reduced price, based on family income. The program is completely confidential and applications for free and reduced meals may be completed anytime during the school year. Click here for more information.
