The first day of classes for the 2011-2012 school year for grades 1-12 is Thursday, September 1.

The first day of classes for Kindergarten students is Tuesday, September 6.  Ready Set Go Conferences will be on Thursday, September 1 and Friday, September 2.

High School Information

Registration
High School student registration will be held on the following dates:
    Wednesday, August 10th - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
    Thursday, August 11th - 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
    Tuesday, August 16th - 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
During registration students and their parents will be able to complete all necessary paperwork, pay fees and receive schedules.

Fees
Required Registration Fee: $50

Activities:
• Optional $25 activity participation fee allows participation in all activities, such as Academic Decathlon, Debate, Forensics, Jazz Ensemble, Mock Trial, Musical, Pit Orchestra, Spring Drama Production, and SWAZZ; and admission to all athletic and activity events (excluding dances, musicals, plays, and WIAA Tournaments).
Athletics:
• Athletic fees are waived for the entire year for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch.
• $100 per student for athletics for the entire year (family maximum of $300 per year) for those who complete the free and reduced lunch application.
• $100 per student per sport (family maximum of $300 per year) for those who do not complete the free and reduced lunch application.

Student Parking Fee: $50 (not prorated)

Freshman Orientation
The Freshman class will be welcomed to Beaver Dam High School on Thursday, August 25th. The orientation will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Please contact Mary Klawitter at (920)885-7470, x2102.

Parents of Freshman students should attend one of the following sessions: 

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
                                       or
Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am

Both session will be held in the BDHS auditorium. Please enter at the circle doors located by the auditorium.

School Pictures
School Pictures will be taken on September 8 and 9.

Middle School Information

Registration
Middle School registration for students and parents will be held on the following dates and times:
      Monday, August 15th - 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm
      Wednesday, August 17th - 6:30 am -2:30 pm
      Thursday, August 18th - 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Upon completion of the registration process, students will be issued their class schedule.

Fees
Required Registration Fee: $35
Co-curricular: $30 per activity (Family maximum of $120 per school year)

Orientation
An orientation for all 6th students and parents will be held on Tuesday, August 23 from 4 pm-6 pm in the auditorium (blue house) and gymnasium (red house). Orientation for new 7th & 8th grade students and parents will be on Monday, August 29 at 5 pm in the auditorium.

Open House
Open House for 7th & 8th grade students and parents will be on Monday, August 29 from 4 pm-6 pm.

School Pictures
School pictures will be taken on September 6 and 7.

Elementary School Information

Registration
There is no formal registration day. Parents do not need to complete forms and pay fees before school starts. On the first day of school, registration/emergency forms and an envelope for fees and the optional milk program money will be sent home with students, along with other information.

Grades 1-5: Forms, fees and optional milk program money should be sent to school with students or paid in the office on the second day of school. The optional milk program begins on September 6 and is $26.40 per semester. The only money needed on the first day of school is breakfast/lunch money, if students do not have money in the family account.

Kindergarten: Forms and fees will be distributed at Ready-Set-Go Conferences on September 1 or 2. To enter kindergarten, children must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2011, as required by state law. Parents who have not previously registered a child for kindergarten should call 885-7300 for information and registration materials.
Lincoln Station (Before and After school Program): Registration will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 5:00 pm–7:30 pm at Lincoln Elementary School.

Jefferson Junction (Before and After school Program): Registration will be held on Monday, August 29, 5:30 pm–7:30 pm

Information Letters
Elementary schools will mail letters with class, school, and other beginning of the year information on August 18th.
