The Free and Reduced Breakfast/Lunch Program offers students a free meal, breakfast/lunch or meals at a reduced price, based on the family income. The Program is completely confidential and you may apply for free and reduced meals at anytime during the school year. At times, a family income may change and the forms can be filled out as income changes. The price for a reduced meal for the 2011-2012 school year is $0.40 for lunch and breakfast.
Even if your child does not take breakfast/lunch or you don’t plan on participating in the program, by getting your approval application on file, the school district receives extra funds to hire additional teachers for reducing elementary class sizes and to provide Title 1 reading programs.
The Free and Reduced applications need to be completed each year for students to receive free or reduced breakfast/lunch meals. Families that received free or reduced meals in the 2010-2011 school year must complete a new application for the 2011-2012 school year.
Applications are available in English and Spanish on this page or at any school office and the Educational Service Center at 705 McKinley St, Beaver Dam. Completed applications can be returned to any school office or the Educational Service Center.
