The Beaver Dam Unified School District is again offering a comprehensive Summer School program to students in the Beaver Dam area. The program is available to children regardless of whether they attend public or parochial school during the year. Summer school will begin June 17, 2013 and run through July 19, 2013. This year we are providing a variety of courses at all levels. We continue to offer reinforcement classes that are designed to strengthen subject areas in which students are weak. They are structured to be more remedial in nature. Enrichment classes are also offered to provide students with learning activities that broaden their skills and enrich their interests. Hopefully, there will be enough student interest in each course because a sufficient number of students is needed to run a class section.
Teachers will often recommend that a student enroll in Summer School to further develop the skills and abilities needed to carry on the work of the next grade. Parents are urged to give serious thought to such recommendations. Please note that some courses are available ONLY through teacher recommendation.
