Therese Henriksen

I have been working as a special education teacher for the Beaver Dam School District for the past thirteen years. I enjoy teaching Special Education work experience, independent employment, reading intervention, and social skills class.  This is my third year as the Beaver Dam High School District Autism Coordinator and this fall I will be taking on the challenge of transition coordinator.  My husband Chad and I have been married for sixteen years and we are the proud parents of three children. We have a son Gabriel (9 yrs), Ava (7 yrs), and Addison (5 yrs).  I enjoy reading, going to the movies, cooking new recipes, playing softball, golfing, and bowling.  My husband and I are avid hunters and we enjoy nature very much.  We spend a lot of time up at our cabin and we love to fishing and 4-wheeling with our family.  Spending time with our children, my 9 year old niece Aaliyah, and helping out on my parents farm takes up most of our time as well.  We spend a lot of time in the family garden and preserving most of our food. I look forward to this school year and working with your child to help them to become positive and productive young adults in our community.
