Learning for a Lifetime.

Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School

Wisconsin School of Recognition

2009 - 2010 and 2010 - 2011

Jefferson School is a busy learning institution every day.  Our 330 students in grades K - 5 grow academically with the help of 54 staff members.  Everyone in the building is proud of earning a 2009-2010 School of Promise Academic Recognition Award from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.  Everyone worked hard to keep that "promise going" and it showed when we were awarded the same award in 2010-2011.  Being a SAGE school allows us to keep class sizes to 18 students to 1 teacher in grades K - 3.

Jefferson School is a very busy place:  at 6:30 am, the school doors open to YMCA Child Care for families; at 7:30 am, local adult PALs (tutors) begin morning tutoring with students; at 8:00 am, a warm breakfast is provided to students; at 8:30 am, school begins and at 3:07, school ends.  Jefferson Junction (our after school program) begins at 3:15 pm with a nutritious snack before almost half of our students participate in recreational, tutorial, acceleration or remediation opportunities.  Jefferson Junction ends at 4:45 pm.  Jefferson School continues to be busy in the evenings with Cub Scouts, PTO meetings, evening classes for parents (nutritional, computer edcuation, financial), community basketball programs and monthly Community Meals!

Stop by and visit us at Jefferson School, where every morning the students are reminded by me to "Have a Great Day of Learning at Jefferson School."
