Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School

Wisconsin School of Recognition

2009 - 2010, 2010 - 2011, and 2013-2014

Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School!

We look forward seeing everyone during our Open House scheduled for Wednesday, August 27 from 5:15 - 6:15 p.m.  Please feel free to bring your student’s school supplies as students will have time to put their supplies in their desk and/or locker.  Student registration materials will also be available.

In late May of 2014, Jefferson Elementary School applied for the 21st Century Learning Grant to fund the Jefferson Junction after school program as it has done in previous years. As you may recall in our June 2014 family newsletter, we informed families that the possibility existed that we would not receive the funding for Jefferson Junction for the 2014-2015 school-year. Because we have not been notified by the state as to the status of our application for the 21st Century Learning Grant and we understand the importance of having an after school program for families, we will implement the School Age Child Care program through the YMCA of Dodge County beginning September 2, 2014. This program will replace Jefferson Junction for the coming school year. Prairie View, Lincoln, Wilson, and Washington Elementary Schools currently use the School Age Child Care program through the YMCA of Dodge County.

The School Age Child Care program will be held at Jefferson Elementary School both before and after school. The site will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 5:45 p.m. daily. The program will be held in the Jefferson Junction room. Families can choose to enroll students for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week and morning, afternoon, or both.

Because the program is independent of the Beaver Dam Unified School District and is operated and staffed by the YMCA of Dodge County, registration should be completed at the YMCA of Dodge County.  Please contact Amber Deibert, YMCA of Dodge County, at (920) 887-8811 ext. 109 or adeibert@theydc.org .
